KATHLEEN RATHBUN
Artistic Director
Ms. Rathbun has extensive experience in developing young dancers’ technique, strength, and artistry. A former soloist with the Princeton Ballet Society of New Jersey and Dancer’s Ensemble of Syracuse, she attended Juilliard on scholarship. She trained under world-renowned teachers like David Howard, Melissa Hayden, and Finis Young.
Ms. Rathbun has taught classical ballet at Syracuse University and served as the director of the Dance Department at the Metropolitan School of the Arts.
In 1997, she reintroduced classical ballet to Central New York, presenting full-scale productions of Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Romeo and Juliet, Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, and Cinderella with the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra. These performances earned sold-out performances and four-star reviews.
